Six-week-old db/db (C57BL/KsJ) mice were equally divided into 2 groups according to body weight. All animals were permitted water or GvEx solution (250 mg/kg bw/day) mixed in tap water and diet (MF commercial diet, Oriental Yeast Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) ad libitum. The study period was 7 weeks [15]. 1) Number of glomeruli per specimen with moderate and marked changes. Values are expressed as mean ± SD. **: p < 0.01 (Student's t-test). |
