Twenty four hour urine excretion (measured over 3 consecutive days) was quantified at 6 weeks of diabetes. Values are mean ± SD of 8 rats each in normal group and diabetes + curcumin group and 7 rats in diabetes group. *P < 0.02 compared to normal, #P > 0.02 compared to diabetes.
